December's Story & Gift Subscriptions
It's time for the Story of the Month. December's story is Love Falling or All Good Things.
As I write this post, it's snowing outside. The season's first snow landed a few days ago and was one to remember. They call it Lake Effect snow, and we were "blessed" with around 4 feet of it in about 48 hours. As you can imagine that's a lot of snow to move, and you can't do it all with a shovel. By the time all was said and done we had gotten two plow trucks stuck, a small payloader had to be used to clear us out, and a local farmer came with a tractor to remove the mounds of snow that had slid off the roof and blocked the windows.
During all of this I saw my frustration began to rise, and the old familiar questions came.
"Why can't I have a decent plow truck?"
"Why are tractors so expensive? Why haven't we figured out how to get one yet?"
"Why did we ever move here?"
"Why are mounds of snow on the trees beautiful but piles of snow on the driveway a hideous disgrace?"
This month's story touches on the theme of wants and desires. Our main character Dzan thought he had it all, but something is missing.
As a special holiday treat, this month's recording of the story has some embellishments added, giving it a soundscape to live in. You can listen to a preview of it below.
As always, thank you for supporting this work. If you know others who might enjoy it please let them know about it. You could even give them a holiday gift subscription by clicking here.
