The Falcon of Calicut
This month's story comes with a bit of intrigue and skullduggery. Greed drives many people to desperate actions. Parco & Alphonse are no exception. You can read all about it in this month's story The Falcon of Calicut.

THE FALCON OF CALICUT
“Slipped through my hands, that’s what it did!”
Parco slammed his bony fist down on the alehouse table, upsetting the two tankards of beer perched on its top.
“Quiet you fool,” hissed his partner Alphonse, if one could call such a rapport a partnership.
His steely dark eyes flashed at Parco and the loathing they conveyed was unmistakable. The two sailors glanced into the half-light of the tavern’s great room. No one in the crowded public house had turned towards the outburst. The evening's patrons, a grizzled collection of lost souls, were too busy in their own little world of problems. Parco and Alphonse appeared to be no more than two sailors home from afar and adrift in drink. The Portuguese harbor town of Aveiro was accustomed to Armada sailors returning from the Indies, ready to stretch their sea legs and set course towards a fathom of drunkenness.
